Rebellion 2009 Dates Announced!
Next year’s Rebellion Festival will be in Blackpool again. Dates confirmed for this legendary Punk rock festival are 6,7,8 & 9th August 2009 @ The Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
This festival always offers an extensive line up of established & up and coming bands within the punk and oi genres. 1000’s of punks flee thier normal existence each year to go to this festival and enjoy time out with music and people that they love with a passion. Punk rock is most certainly not dead when you see it in action in this way.
The rebellion promoters always keep ticket prices reasonable, even more so, if you book in advance.
Tickets are now on sale for next year and if you book before 31st October 2008, you can get into this whole festival for £65.
And as special treat they have organised a very special christmas gig to be held at The Forum in Kentish Town on Saturday 13th December 2008. The Damned + Special guests :

Yes the legendary punk outfit SHAM 69 will be bringing their earthy charms to the stage in Londons West End this October. The band formally fronted by Jimmy Pursey have since reformed in Jan 2007 with the new powerful format line up and along with original members Ian Whitewood and founding member and songwriter Dave Parsons and original Bassist Dave Treganna, are bringing there successful THATS LIFE album to the stage.
The album which was the first if you like ‘punk concept’ album charted at 27 in Oct 1978 and spawned classic songs such as HURRY UP HARRY and ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES both of which were top 20 hits. SHAM 69 though not as commercially successful as bands such as the Sex Pistols or the Clash, were however the most successful in the charts and are still to this day in the genre of Punk.
The band during their many reincarnations have been very successful in the last 2 years with this current line up, with triumphant tours of many countries such as the US, Australia and Japan, they go from strength to strength. So its also good that the band will also be releasing a new greatest hits album at the end of Oct featuring many tracks that have yet never been released in a studio format.
THATS LIFE will be performed live in its entirety at Londons Astoria on Saturday 18th October and tickets for this event are onsale now.
Dave Parsons has quoted at his forthcoming performance “ this is something that of course takes me back but is also good fun to play and see how people will reflect on how the character Joe Public fits the kids of today”.
